Family-Owned for Four Generations
Celebrating a century of service in 2024
Roofing Specialists Since 1924
In 1924, John Bagladi, a Hungarian immigrant, recognized that the greater Holland, Michigan area needed a local roofing specialist for its growing residential and commercial sectors. He set up shop on North Shore Drive, and Holland Ready Roofing (HRR) quickly became one of West Michigan’s most sought-after roofing specialists.
The Next Generations
John’s sons, Jim, John, and Frank Bagladi took over the business in the late 1940s and expanded it in the 50s by adding a new location on Howard Avenue (currently the site of CVS Pharmacy).
The business passed to a third generation in the late 70s with Jim Jr. (Clip), Mike, and Scott at the helm. This generation oversaw the construction of HRR’s current location on Quincy Street in 1986. Mike followed his passion at the police academy and as an EMT and holds the rank of Sergeant with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department. Jim Jr. served as company President until his passing in 2006 when Scott took on the mantle of CEO.
A Continuing Legacy
Today, Scott's sons Judd (CEO) and Kyle (VP) carry on the family tradition of solid craftsmanship and exceptional service begun by their great grandfather John Bagladi nearly a century ago. They bring the same best practices and design innovation to every project, from local small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. This commitment has made them highly sought-after by both regional and
nationally-based clients. Today, they employ the latest in single-ply roofing, but HRR’s mission has remained consistent from the beginning: provide safe, dry, efficient overhead protection to gather, work, shop, and learn under. In 2024, they will celebrate 100 years of business in Holland, Michigan.
